Playing God.

Just discovered a very powerful website:
http://inventory.overture.com/

With this website, you can get into the mind of most human beings. With this website, you know what is the most wanted object/knowledge in the world.

I am in the graphic design business. When I landed on this website, the first thing I keyed in was “Graphic Design”. Then, I found out that on the month of October 2006 alone, people used the keyword “Graphic Design” in Yahoo! search engine 169,624 times. Not bad, I thought. Graphic Design seems to be a very desirable thing! Wait until I found out that in the same period of time, “Sex” was searched for 7,899,081 times. Even “Free Sex” was searched for 825,690 times! Alright then, now I know what people really want. Before I exited the website, I keyed in my name hoping to find one or two secret admirers searched for my name…zero result. Now I really get it. No matter how hard I tried, I just can’t be as popular as Free Sex!

Chinese Wisdom: Happiness is a choice.

I went to a friend’s wedding banquet and got a small box of chocolate as a party favor. I was staring at the double happiness icon on the box. Then, I was staring it sideways. Guess what I saw. I saw two English words “Choice”. I doubt it was happened by design. But what a great reminder: Being happy is a choice! And being married is an end result of two happy choices.

Note: Double happiness is a symbol of Chinese weddings.

Project Number 1002.

Project Name:
Tong & Chiu Communication Design Corp. Self-Promotional Book

Project Description:
Design and produce a self-promotional book that can get us more business…or at least get people to be interested in working for us.

What makes it different or better?
We filled this book with beautiful images of our work, but there is no body copy. Therefore, no full stories have been given out. If someone is interested, one can find my phone number right on the title page. In addition, this book is hand stitched and the pages can be easily modified or rearranged for different target readers.
